What Coaching is
Coaching has been described as “ two people talking in a room about things the coachee (you) wants to change.”(Julie Starr, The Coaching manual 2003) Sounds simple?………………
It is, however coaching sessions have aims and outcomes and these are:
| > |
To understand who you are as a person. |
| > |
To understand what stage you are at in your life. |
| > |
To help you to discover what changes you want to make to your life. |
| > |
To help you to identify what might be stopping you from making those changes. |
| > |
To help you to create goals. |
| > |
To support you in achieving those goals. |
| > |
To help create time scaled action plans to make your goals achievable. |
What Coaching is not
Coaching is not counselling, in that it acknowledges the past but doesn’t focus on it. Coaching is all about moving on, and breaking free from the past, if you feel you are at a stage where you have serious issues with the past then maybe counselling may be more appropriate at this time.
Coaching is not:
| > |
Financial advice. |
| > |
Drug and alcohol counselling. |
| > |
Marriage guidance. |
| > |
Is not appropriate to people who are abusing others.
|
Who can be coached?
Anyone who wants to make changes in their lives, these could be personal, career, or just finding a new direction.
What you have to do as a Coachee?
The coachee must be willing to making the changes agreed in the sessions, and show a high level of commitment to the process. The coach and coachee have to work together.

Session Costs
Each individual session is charged at £40 whether it be face to face or telephone coaching, the sessions last around an hour with the first session being up to one and a half hours. It is required for a coachee to book and pay for a course of 4 sessions initially as Life Coaching is a 'process' and it would not be beneficial for you to recieve only one or two sessions.
Our promise to you
Our promise to you is that we will not attempt to extend the number of sessions beyond what we feel is beneficial to you, Life Coaching should be a 'short lived' experience where the Coachee learns the necessary skills in order to work towards thier goals. We do not encourage 'dependance' upon the Coach as the process is all about 'empowering and motivating the Coachee'.
Please contact us if you wish to discuss the Life Coaching process in more depth .
Life Coaching sessions are delivered by fully qualified Life Coaches, Teachers, and Holistic Therapists. |
