Entry requirements
| > | A qualification in Anatomy and Physiology. |
| > | A qualification in massage (preferable). |
Course Content
By the end of the course Therapists will:
| > | Understand the history and principles behind ear candling and coning. |
| > | Understand the anatomy and physiology of the ear, conditions affecting the head and neck area and how they can be benefited by the treatment.
|
| > | Describe conditions that Hopi Ear Therapy can and cannot help. |
| > | Understand the effects of Hopi Ear Therapy on the energies of the body and mind, and their Holistic benefit. |
| > | Perform the Hopi Ear Therapy routine (inc pressure point/Lymphatic drainage massage) to a high standard, whilst abiding by Health and Safety. |
| > | Perform consultations and create treatment plans. |
| > | Understand how the candles can be incorporated into other therapies. |
| > | Complete written questions, and answer oral questions on Hopi Ear Therapy. |
*Written case studies need to be submitted within one month of taking the course to achieve certification.
Assessment
Therapists will be assessed by
| > | Oral questions |
| > | Practical observation |
| > | Written questions and 2 case studies (3 treatments each) |

All successful students will receive a FHT accredited NLT/ HSM certificate, this certificate guarantees the therapist a high standard of training and is recognised by most insurers.
